3 weeks already?!?!?!?!

It has been 3 weeks sense William joined our family. It's hard to believe it has been that long. It seems like i was just pregnant yesterday. We had his 2 week appointment yesterday and he is doing well. He now weighs 6Ibs 8oz and is perfectly healthy. The doctor just kept repeating that he is healthy just small. Shawn was too though so we've decided it must be hereditary. He had his heal poked and milked of blood as well for the PKU test thing. He screamed through most of it and stopped when she got to the last dot. I think he decided the screaming wasn't doing any good so he stopped. I'm just glad he is healthy. :)

3 years....

It has been 3 years from mine and Shem's first date. It's hard to believe that it has been 3 years. For our first date we went out to eat and Subway and then went to institute where we had a very awkward situation happen. The gal that Shem was sort of dating before he started dating me thought that they were exclusive, Shem was going to tell her other wise that night after institute, so rather than me sitting by Shem while we watched "Charley" she sat between Shem and I and was all over Shem's arm. Yes this was our first date and yes we were watching a romance tear jerker movie. But Shem and I continued to text each other through the movie and as soon as it was over Shem took this gal out to the parking lot and let her know that they weren't a couple and he was no longer dating her. Saddest part is she still didn't get it. She still thought he was "cheating" on her with me when we went on our second date that Saturday. Only after we got engaged did she really get the picture that things were over.

It's been a good 3 years!

Family of 4

On February 23rd, 2010 we went from a family of 3 to a family of 4. William Michael Erastus Whitehead came into our family weighing 5 pounds 12 ounces and 20 inches long and a head full of hair. The labor and delivery was amazing! It went smoothly and I was able to go completely natural. No drugs no IV nothing until after he was born. He had the cord wrapped around his neck and chest but screamed as soon as his head came out. It was an amazing birth and i'm still in complete awe of this spirit that has joined our family!
